About Divine Love Ministry

Caritas Christi urget nos - The love of Christ impels us. The Divine Love Ministry members are a group of men, women, youth and children who devote themselves to contributing their quota in the civilization of love in the world. We do this by gathering once a week for prayer, Bible Study, Christian Services, Spiritual Counseling, etc. We have come to realize that in every generation God has always depended on men and women in the building of His kingdom of justice, peace and love. We have experienced God's goodness and love in our lives and being moved by the Holy Spirit, we are willing to share God's love with others. We have come to realize that there is no shortage of goodness in the world but evil reigns whenever good people remain silent by refusing to put their gifts to work for the good of mankind.

Membership of our prayer group is open to all who have the desire to deepen their faith in God by way of prayer, Bible sharing and service to humanity. Our members devote an hour worth of their monthly income towards alleviating the needs of the poor and the needy in our midst. Our primary goal is to reach out to the poor in Mexico and Africa, but our experience so far has challenged us to extend our generosity also to the needy here in the United States.

In faithfulness to our founding principles, our ministry is non-political and deeply rooted in the Word of God. Based on biblical principles (Mtt 25:35-45), we devote ourselves and our resources to providing solace to the destitute and the homeless. We also provide hope for the hopeless, food for the hungry and comfort to the afflicted, disadvantaged, disenfranchised, etc. In so doing we aim to become all things to all people rich and poor alike (1Cor 9:19-23).

Living in a busy world like ours, we have come to realize that there are many good men and women out there who would like to devote themselves to prayer and service but are unable to do this because of the nature of their job or their commitment to their families. We welcome such people as our auxiliary members. We stay connected to them through monthly update of our stewardship by ways of emails, phone calls, etc. If you think that the good Lord is calling you to contribute your quota in the civilization of love (Kingdom of God) on earth, the Divine Love Ministry is a fitting place for you to belong. We shall welcome you with all our heart and empower you to become a channel of God's love in the world. We look forward to hearing from you and may the love of God abide with you forever. Amen.
